Dish drops WWE PPVs
So word is that Dish has decided to drop all WWE PPVs because of the WWE Network. So people think they are doing the right thing and that it will hurt WWE and Vince's bank account. Me, I think the opposite. If anything is forces people's hand to pay for the network and that money goes straight to WWE, they don't split it with anyone else. What do you think?

I truly believe many out there just want to see it fail but I think this could be a ridiculous cash cow for WWE.
From what info I've garnered so far this could be a huge catapult into a potentially new boom period for them and by fall out for other feds and wrestling as a whole.
This could be extremely good for all of us.

It will be huge when it starts hitting the other markets. Europe will bring big money

If ever there was a time to bring in a big name Japanese wrestler and actually do something with him, it's now.

Indeed, wasn't KENTA just at the Performance Center?

He was but he's not going anywhere, it was mainly him wanting to get a look see after being invited along.
It would need to be a name like his though to get that big push into that market, I could see Okada potentially doing well there give the right handling.

Well I have heard that KENTA does want to eventually go to WWE. I am not to familiar with a lot of Japanese Wrestlers I'm afraid.

He could do eventually but for now he's helping to rebuild NOAH.
Best thing I ever did in recent years was get into Japanese wrestling, especially NJPW.

I've never see a run of such high quality PPV's in wrestling ever, they have literally been on a run of almost 24 months of brilliant shows.
I know it's only personal opinion but when 41 out of 50 of the top matches for 2013 are from NJPW it tells you quite a lot.

Re: Dish drops WWE PPVs
Some people have been getting mixed signals. Some said it was on the calender internally, and some said that it was off the books entirely, and that they were pushing people to order TNA PPVs and UFC PPVs.
I think it was reported, they - at times - don't offer them until a day or so before the actual event takes place.
I, personally, think it's stupid. Even with the Network, WWE PPVs will probably still draw more than TNA PPVs will, and Dish is just throwing money off the table. If anything, I can see people switching over to DirecTV, who I think are still offering the PPV, or - as stated above - ordering the Network.

Plus bailing out just before WrestleMania drops, not a smart move methinks.
I think WWE are moving themselves into a strong position with who they want showing their content and what they can demand for any deals.

Just about everything WWE does is done to put themselves in a better position.
Dish will probably regret it and put it up at the last minute, to get the bucks. If none of the other providers drop it, Dish will come off really bad.

Yup smart moves all round from them, only Dish could come off looking not so grand as you say.

Dish apparently stands to lose 460,000 bucks by not carrying the Chamber PPV

Time to adjust prices.
I hope the EC pulls in more buys, so DISH can feel like an asshole missing out on that paper.
