I started in on Shameless the other night. Went straight into episode 2, needed converting before I could watch it - nooooooo! So I started the long overdue Boardwalk Empire instead

Boardwalk Empire is definitely one show I need to start, I've been meaning to for months now. TV does tend to get terrible over the summer so I'll fit it in somewhere.

I finished House of Cards season two today. Great Netflix show. Now to wait for Orange is the new Black II.

OK, so I'm only now getting into the first seasons of Boardwalk Empire and Shameless (U.S). I must admit, I'm loving both. Shameless has one of the best casts assembled that I have seen in years. It seems they have merely taken the original as a very loose template and made something very much it's own. Unlike early episodes of The Office, which were almost exactly the same as some of the UK eps, this show really makes a mark of it's own. Totally hooked. And Boardwalk is not too bad to be mixing it up with.

I think I feel about Shameless the same way I did about Orange Is The New Black.

It's Deke in my opinion. He's ok but I just don't see much point to him. I prefer Andy over Deke.

Andy had greater presence and humor, he really was the better choice for Max in the beginning vs Caroline. Plus Caroline is a money slut, so if she'd met Deke and found out he has millions right off the bat, I could've imagined her trying to get with Deke so viciously to have money again.

Plus there's no been update of the case of Caroline's father vs season 2 and Earl has been lackluster vs the first 2 seasons. I hope that if they get renewed for a 4th season, they just go back to the crude humor that made them popular.

She really is. Plus the last episode Deke pointed so many things to hint the chef isn't really married but in my opinion has a friend who pretends to be his wife to get girls hooked on the idea, they're sleeping with a married to make sex very intense and passionate and then later dump them in the promises that he's more faithful to his wife than the girls he sleeps around with, I mean really the Skype call to grant Caroline "permission" to sleep with the chef was too staged.

Sophie was fine in the beginning and really served the show well as Oleg's girlfriend,since they broke up I find her so annoying. Les Sophie and more Earl, please lol

I cannot comprehend this statement. IMO, Kat Dennings is the worst comedic actress I have seen in a long time, maybe at all. Her timing and delivery ranges from ultra predictable to utterly bland. She makes Ashton Kutcher look like a comedy genius. Sorry, not my bag baby.
